Q: WHY OVERHEAD STORAGE?

A: Why not! Within newer homes today, the square footage is maximized inside the house, while the garage is left with very little storage space. Take advantage of the unused ceiling space with our overhead storage racks.

 

Q: HOW MANY UNITS CAN I INSTALL IN MY GARAGE?

A: Although every garage in unique, our typical installation is one 8x4 per car garage. For example, in a two car garage two 8x4 units common. Depending on your storage needs, more units may be utilized.

 

Q: WHAT IF 8x4 UNITS WON’T FIT IN MY GARAGE?

A: Not to worry! We have many different sizes - we’re sure to find a solution for your garage.

 

Q.  WHAT SIZES DO YOU HAVE?

A.  8'x4' - Our most popular size!  Two units span a double car garage.  We have fit as  many as 6 racks in a two car garage.

     8'x3' - Can be used in unique spaces when less width is desired. 

     8'x2' - Often used toward the back or side of a garage.  Connects well with other 2'  wide sizes to create and L-shaped corner units.  Fits well in narrow spaces.

     6'x4'-  Most often used instead of 8'x4' units if your garage door opener is less than 20"     to the ceiling.  Two units can sit on either side of the opener.  Some customers prefer the 6'x4' so they can take advantage of the full 38" height of the units.

     4'x4'- Can be used to create an L-Shaped unit with the 8'x4' or the 6'x4' units.  Can fit into small places such as above a washer or dryer.

    4'x3', 3'x3' or 2'x4' - Can be used to create an L-Shaped unit with other larger units.  Can fit into small places such as above a washer or dryer or anywhere you can use a smaller unit for extra storage.

 

Q: WHERE IN THE GARAGE SHOULD I HANG MY UNITS?

A: Use your imagination. If there is adequate space you can utilize the space above your garage door. If that’s not an option you can hang them against the wall or in the center of the garage.

 

Q. WHAT IS THE MINIMUM HEIGHT REQUIRMENT FOR INSTALLATION?

A: The standard height of our units is 20 to 38 inches. However, we can attach extensions to bring the rack down further, and for spaces smaller than 20 inches the units can be cut to fit.

 

Q: CAN I INSTALL THE UNITS MYSELF?

A: Yes. Our units come with simple instructions and require minimal tools. However, they must be installed into roof trusses, studs, rafters, or floor joists. Homeowners who are not familiar with construction should consider having it professionally installed.
